1. Data controller

2. Waiting time data

A&E waiting time content comes from Hospital Authority open data JSON feeds. That information is public open data. We store a copy on our servers to power listing, search, sorting, and optional notifications.

3. Information we collect

We do not require an account. We do not sell personal data.

• Push token — Expo / device push token, when you enable notifications.
• Notification preferences — e.g. wait-drop alerts, threshold, quiet hours, language, platform.
• Watched hospitals — hospital keys you choose for alerts.
• Approximate location — if you grant permission, used only on-device to sort nearby hospitals/clinics; not uploaded for tracking.
• On-device only — favourites and local caches for offline use. These stay on your device unless you clear app data.

4. How we use information

• Deliver push notifications you opted into (e.g. when a watched hospital’s wait falls to or below your threshold).
• Improve reliability of sync and listing.

5. Device permissions

• Notifications — optional; for wait-drop alerts.
• Location — optional; on-device nearest sorting only.

6. Third parties

• Hospital Authority — source of open waiting-time data.
• Expo / Apple / Google — push delivery infrastructure.
• Hosting provider — stores waiting-time snapshots and push preference records.

7. Retention

Push tokens, watch lists, and alert preferences are kept while you use the App and may be removed if the token becomes invalid or you request deletion. Local caches are under your control (uninstall / clear storage).

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
